The perfect way to pay tribute to teachers and staff while supporting MEF! This recognition program makes wonderful holiday or end of school year teacher gifts!
The MEF Gratitude and Accolades for a Millcreek Township School District Employee ("GAME") program offers a way to acknowledge the educators and staff of your choice while supporting the Millcreek Education Foundation. GAME is an easy and thoughtful way to honor your child's teachers and assistants, art, music, physical education, technology, librarians, office staff, nurses, custodians, etc. - essentially anyone associated with your child's school experience!
How does GAME work?
Each honoree who is sponsored by a donation – regardless of the amount - will receive recognition on MEF’s website as well as a special Letter of Recognition from MEF, including the name of the benefactor and any specified message. Please note that the letter will not include the amount of the gift.
The Millcreek Education Foundation accepts tax deductible gifts to support our mission. Gifts may be designated to support the Foundation endowment, programs or one of our charitable funds.
The Millcreek Education Foundation (formerly Millcreek School Foundation) was established in 1983. This 501(c)3 organization was formed to benefit the students attending schools in the Millcreek Township School District. Individuals, PTA's and organizations have created funds in the Foundation to provide scholarships, educational enhancements, faculty/staff grants and capital and other improvements needed in the District.
Giving back to your community, your school, your Alma Mater demonstrates pride. It shows a commitment and an investment that you can call your own. Your gift will be put back in to the schools through grants, student scholarships, educational enhancements, and other innovative needs of the District.
FREE before school, girls only, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) hands-on, interactive program. Students are introduced to women mentors working in the field and participate in activities. This is a “Make and Take” experience with the idea that each student will make something, take it with them to show their peers, their family, and others. This is an empowering tool to encourage creativity and participation.
The program is held in the 5 Millcreek Township School District elementary schools (Asbury, Belle Valley, Chestnut Hill, Grandview, Tracy). It has a two-fold purpose - to engage young women in the possibilities of STEAM and to get essential equipment and supplies into the schools so all students benefit. The PTA’s at each school are instrumental in providing the volunteers to make this program a success.
